CF Lennox started in Cork City in 1953. Along with our flagship shop in Tory Top road, we now have another shop in Midleton too. Both of these shops work tirelessly to provide quality service and premium food to our communities.
We’re deeply embedded in the communities we serve: Tory Top Road and Midleton Cork. We’ve built a strong and lasting reputation, with strong loyalties from all varieties of customers and friends.
It is with tremendous pride that we see our shops doing so well, and having a pivotal role in our community. linda & Steve
Cornelius Francis Lennox started the buisiness in 1953 in Cork City, on Tory Top Road. His family established the service and standards that we still hold dear today.
Today, Linda and Steve are the driving force behind CF Lennox. Linda is the food. Steve is the experience.
Linda has always loved food. It’s her life. At 12, she was baking bread at 6am in a restaurant in Schull, where she grew up.
She always dreamt of owning her own restaurant. In 2005, she got the chance to do so. Still only in her 20s, she bought CF Lennox’s in Tory Top Road, one of Cork’s famous chip shops.
Linda made sure the customer experience stayed the same. A new owner, but the same quality food and service.
In 2007, she opened a sister shop in Midleton. Even the recession couldn’t stop it becoming a roaring success.
Steve appeared in Linda’s life in 2007. He’s her husband now, and they have 3 lovely kids Abby, Niamh & Gavin.
Steve works tirelessly to make sure you have a great experience when you visit a CF Lennox shops. He is responsible for the decor, the uplifting quotes in the shops, and above all the Christmas decorations that have made it on to RTE.
Steve is the Hercules behind the scenes. He tirelessly renovates, builds repairs and improves our shops. His labour and energy is endless and inspiring.
He is also our voice on social media.

The CF Lennox way of treating people has continued during years of big change in Ireland. We’ve maintained those values of service and food into the 21st century. And we brought them to Midleton when we opened our second shop there in 2007.
The dedication and skill of the staff in our shops has passed from person to person over many decades—every member of staff working together to serve you memorable harty wholesome food.
